Specimen blocks are safely stored in Blocklock storage modules, a component in the BEEM Specimen Storage System 2000. All Blocklocks can be inserted in a Plastic Protective Box or, by utilizing the adhesive feature, mounted in combination with other Blocklock modules on the BEEM mounting panel that fits in a standard " D-Type" 3-ring binder. Electron Microscopy Sciences Lowicryl K11M Kit
Lowicryl resins are highly cross-linked acrylate-based embedding resins, designed for use over a wide range of embedding conditions. These resins provide low viscosity at low temperatures. All of these resins are photopolymerized by long wavelength (360nm) ultraviolet light. Since the initiation of the polymerization is largely independent of temperatures, blocks may be polymerized at the same temperatures used for infiltration. The resin may also be chemically polymerized at 60 degree C. Usable to -60 deg C.
